Cutta Cutta Cave Tour

Discover Main Location Page

27 kilometres out of Katherine, beneath the red earth and dramatic scenery lies a hidden world waiting to be explored. The Cutta Cutta Caves is a fantastic day trip that can only be accessed on a short 1 hour tour.

Descend 15 meters below the surface into the cool dark Cutta Cutta Cave labyrinth limestone caverns sculpted by millions of years of water erosion. In this aboriginal cultural and historical significant site, learn how the light dancing chandelier like stalactites and stalagmites have formed here. Remember too keep your eyes out for ghost bats, known for their translucent wings and silent noise and Horseshoe bats clinging to the walls.

Some areas involve walking on uneven surfaces and points where you might need to bend down to avoid hitting your head. While suitable for most, enclosed shoes and comfortable clothing will maximise your enjoyment. Tours run seasonally, book here in advance to avoid missing out and make sure to bring a camera so you can tag us on your socials.
