Known for having an abundance of the worlds best beaches, there are plenty of attractions close to town. Choose your way (drive, walk, cycle) to explore the top highlights along the Esperance Shorefront and soak up coastal paradis. Remember to pack your towel, swimmers, snorkel and perhaps a fishing rod.

Kick start in the heart. The Esperance Jetty is a bustling hub of community activity with fishermen casting their lines, teenagers jumping into the water, and mesmerising sunsets as the sun dips down with the overhead LED lights attracting squid for night time fishing. Just a quick walk away, the James St. Precinct offers direct beach access, picnic shelters, barbecue facilities, and the quirky giant whale tail sculpture adding to the playful atmosphere.

Venturing further offers your chance to stretch your legs. The Dempster Head lookout offers a 360 view over water, scattered islands, and landscape with the horizon stretching in all directions. From here, take the short walk around the Rotary Walk Trail. Further afield, the best beaches to visit cater to whatever you are looking for. The protected waters Blue Haven is ideal for snorkeling and relaxed swimming. Windsurfers and spectators will find a thrill at Fourth Beach. Observatory Point and 11 Mile Beach are ideal photo points with dramatic cliffs plunging into the ocean and paddling in shallow depths. Low tide offers secluded rock pool swimming at 10 Mile Lagoon with a nudist beach 200 meters to the right. For those needing the safety of lifeguard patrol, Twilight Beach is supervised during summer weekends.

The Esperance Coastline Trail caters to any mode of transport. Explore by car or take the path perfect for cycling or walking, offering a chance to truly immerse yourself in the beauty of the coastline with diverse vegetation. While the full trail by bike or foot only reaches Twilight Bay before diverting to a pink lake (not actually pink, but still worth a visit!).
