An hours’ drive west along the coast from Esperance will take you to what many consider to be the best of Esperance. Venture through the highlights of Frenchman Peak, Lucky Bay, Le Grand, and cap it off at the brewery as you explore Cape Le Grand National Park.

The park’s crown jewel, Lucky Bay, 2023 world’s best beach, offers park life with a beautiful beach. Imagine white sand so fine it squeaks and take the view from the lookout as you traverse headlands from the bitumen car park side. After taking in the stunning views and picture-perfect swim or the quintessential Australian beach cricket, extend the fun by testing your driving skills. With your tyres deflated, drive on the sand at Le Grand Beach or hang 10 on the waves. Before going in the water, build up a sweat on Frenchman Peak. This mostly vertical two-hour trek, requiring good shoes and fitness will take you up a large rock. Once you reach the summit, the views are unparalleled. Feel like Simba in the Lion King as you gaze out over the vast expanse of the coastline, the turquoise waters sparkling in the distance, and the rugged beauty of the national park stretching before you.
