While facilities are basic, the park offers a true taste of outback life for you to unwind and soak up the stunning scenery.
Along the Coppermine Creek, take the opportunity to splash, fish, or paddle the calm waters and discover lush surroundings. Just remember that there is a risk of crocodiles. Try to camp uphill from the water and at least 50 meters away, and do not feed the crocodiles. 60 kilometres west of Cloncurry, Fountain Springs is a hidden gem. This permanent waterhole offers free camping surrounded by stunning rock formations. Facilities are limited, so come prepared.
